Melencolia I (1514) by Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528)

Dürer's 4 x 4 magic square featured in the spectacular Engraving 'Melencolia', is truly übermagic! This Magic Square, as well as having traditional magic square rules, its four quadrants, corners and centers equal the same number, 34, which happens to belong to the Fibonacci sequence.
The two middle cells of the bottom row also give the date of the engraving: 1514.

Astonishingly if you rotate Dürer's square by 180 degrees, then subtract 1 from the squares containing 11, 12, 15 and 16 you will end up with :-
